She packed dozens of tins with home baked cookies and shared them with friends and family.

Her Christmas cookies were a much-anticipated gift during the holidays. For several years she baked dozens of pies at Thanksgiving for a New Haven soup kitchen. Joanne’s pies at Thanksgiving were picture perfect apple, french apple and pumpkin with crusts made from scratch and apples from our favorite orchards. Joanne’s kitchen was her special place and she shared her love through cooking and baking. She loved to cook, she loved everything about family, her close friends and her pets.

Joanne is survived by her three loving children, Roger Bauman (Sheridan) of Westbrook, Eric Bauman of Alma, CO, and Carrie Dessureau (Mark) of Waterbury VT along with five grandchildren, Avery, Ingrid and Carolyn Bauman, and Ryan and Eric Dessureau. She was born Augin New Haven to William and Marie (Derbacher) Lloyd. Joanne Bauman 79, of Westbrook, formerly of Cheshire, passed away Septemat CT Hospice.
